May 4th - " THE RESULT "

Today I had to go to get the result of the blood test from the hospital and then I would go to visit a doctor at 10h00. I woke up quite early because I was so nervous and didn't sleep well. Why? I don't know. May be I was so afraid of some sickness in my blood that I never know before... and that means "I am sick" and "I don't get job... ever and forever". This would be enough reason for me to be nervous, no?

Anyway, I went to hospital at 09h30 to receive the blood test result. On the way to go to hospital, while I was walking, I thought-First I gonna see the result, and in the result papers I need to find the word only "NEGATIVE" not "POSITIVE". The papers would be in Spanish-So 'negative' in Spanish is "Negativo", There! not a problem no need to understand much. I was standing at the counter, asking for my blood test result from the hospital officer. And she said... Sorry, your test hasn't arrived!!!!! "Wha--?" I said that I must use it today to see a doctor at 10 o'clock. So she called to the lab office and asked them to send the fax. And my original test result will be send by 1PM. "Aaggrrr! I don't understand!! I've paid €230 for this test, why is so difficult to be ON TIME!?" Even more, now she asked me to pay for the doctor visit IN CASH!! (here, you have to pay the visit first before to see a doctor). I claimed that I paid with the card for the first time's visit why not this time. She said the first time she didn't realise that my doctor has a specific request of payment for all of his patients to pay in cash! I politely complained by asking her opinion that; As you know that I am here for the Medical check which is quite expensive and I am responsible for all expenses myself, It costs a lot of money. And because of that, most of people would use their credit card to pay these expenses, rather to pay in cash. What would happen if I didn't have enough cash to pay? What would happen if I want to pay only with a credit card for my personal reason??...... She started to look guilty, and said she would go to ask doctor for me. At that moment, I thought I would see the blood test's result first, if there was POSITIVO somewhere in the paper, I would just leave, back home and get drunk because It means the end of story! ...... My career and My sickness. There is no need to see doctor.

I heard the telephone fax which was behind the counter was ringing and the fax signal started to send... .. .. My heart started to beat stronger stronger and stronger.... I could feel that my face getting hotter because of too much nervious. Now the printing was started.... one page- two pages.....one more .....more... and............ now It finished. She stood up after the printing finished and gathered all those papers and handed to me. I took them from her without looking at them just yet, and excused myself that I would go to get some cash from ATM machine to pay the doctor visit and will be back. I took a paper and sat down at the waiting area. I looked and searched carefully.... Page 1... Page 2..... Page 3.... Page 4 and 5 THERE!! Full of the word "NEGATIVO".... (it was hapetitis A-B-C and Syphillis) Page 6 I could see it so clear " H-I-V" test- and next to "Hiv" is 'NEGATIVO' YES!! No "positivo" anywhere in these papers....~~ What a relief~~!-I sighed. pffff~.... Now gonna find a ATM mechine and come again to visit doctor.

I met a doctor, he filled all the forms I need in English, and asked the nurse to take me for vision check. Nurse took me to another room to check my eyes. After she checked my eyes with the machine she gave me the paper with the result and explained to me that, give the test result to a doctor and later bring the paper to pay at the counter 20Euros! "WHa~?!?" again!?? ..... what she did was only "Okay, read this line please while you are wearing glasses.......now take them off and read this line with your right eye/ left eyes... etc" 20Euros! Damn!! I was so upset! After the test, I was waiting for a doctor to call me in the waiting area. He came out from his office and walked directly to me and asked for the result paper and forms which I had from Emirates, that he needed to fill and asked me to go home! ¿Eh?!.... I don't get it!! I asked him about the expenses he said, it is not necessary. Moreover, he asked me to give him the vaccination form. He will provide some vaccines which are free in Spain for me and come to meet him on Thursday, free of charge!..... Well now, sounds better!!

In fact, when I saw a doctor for the first time, He just look what tests I would be needed, and wrote the prescriptions to go to check.... and this time, He didn't really do the check with me. He just looked at the blood test's result, the x-ray film and fill up the form and sign! Nothing more nothing less. I paid him to do this for 120Euros! Now he might be empathy so he helped me.

Today I actually expected to complete all the documents but It didn't happen. Well, perhaps on Thursday should be done. However, today I was already happy that I was almost official be hired by Emirates because I knew all the result.... Blood test, Chest x-ray...etc. I am a healthy man!! Only Vaccination and Dentist to go. Thus, in the afternoon I went to dentist clinic in this hospital to make an appointment which will be on Friday. That means everything will be completed on this week! yey!.....

End of the week~ I eventually got the vaccination from doctors on Thursday however some of them are not provided in the hospital; Yellow fever-MMR-typhoid.. I need to go to another place for it, the center of ministry health and social (pff~~more complicated, need to make an appointment for it. However It's free... well.... no complaint. I will send all the documents first to Emirates anyway, and will update the vaccination with them later, don't think that would be problem) And I got the dentist to fill the form for me already. So now I got everything. On Monday 10th May, I will scan all documents and will send to Emirates. So I will get the "FINAL APPROVAL" by next week!!!

Friday 7th - COOKING THAI cuisine at Nick-Silvia place. I taught Nick to cook Thai cuisine. We cooked Pat-tai-kung (Shrimps Patthai), Beef Paneng(red) curry, Stir-fired Squid yellow curry, and Tomyam chicken.... It was so good!! Nick is so interested in cooking, he loves cooking so I told him some tips and tricks to cook like Thai. :o)
