Long time no see....

..............It has been sooo soo soo long time I haven't updated my blog at all. The main reasons are: I had been busy with training... (super busy). Plus No internet at apartment. So it is not quite convenience to update. And once I started to fly... My social is getting bigger, getting to know more ppl, spending time with colleagues, to get to know them better.... and try to enjoy life in Dubai, try to fit myself here, try to make "life" in Dubai. So I didn't spend time much to do something online; especially writing blog which requires long time to do so, and plus all imagination to write down into words.

Here I'm going tell you it in briefly what happened during my training college.

First week: everyday, there were 'talk' sessions. Like introduction, all useful information about Dubai, included work, health, life, etc. Technically, you just go there and listen, so it is very important that you have to sleep enough otherwise you will be so sleepy during 'talk' things.
(my batch A380-1554)

(For during the first week, you can find more details in one previous article, below)

Second week: Started to train about SEP (Security Emergency Procedure) I learned all of the potential emergency situations, and experienced all of those situations in the almost real in the simulator; decompression, emergency landing, ditching...etc. It was fun. So Ispent time in classroom and then in action in simulator each day. Then by the end of the week, there was an exam, you must have 80%. And I got 95% :-( boo hoo.... I wanted 100%!!

Third week: I was still with SEP but this week learned about Emergency Equipment, locations, what are they, how to use them in what situation... etc. Also learned about the aircraft's equipments onboard. Using a lot of memorize. So you have to understand the first week of SEP, then you will be able to imagine what would u do, use what equipements in those emergency situations. And also study about Drills, in another word is 'procedure' in step by step. Mostly studied in the classroom. And by the end of the week..... Another exam. I got 100% this time!!! yeyyy.....

Forth week: Training about GMT, which is about Medication cases. how to react, what resources do we have onboard, and what are they. What are signs and symptoms of the potential sickness. What is the procedures. What medications? etc. And by the end of the course you will get an Exam! I got 97% ! The last day of this week, you will recieve Emirates ID, Uniform, suitcase.... to get ready for next week in uniform :o)

Fifth week: Another security training about bombs, explosions, weapons, hijack for 2 days, this is also included the action of how to manage about to fight, restrain passengers. and of course, by the end of these 2days, there was an exam. After that, It was a training for "Najoum" ( it is in Arabic, which means "Star"), for only one day. This is THE PARTICULAR training that Emirates provides for cabin crew. It is a very special training, and I cannot tell you what is all about. Because it is special so you gonna find out yrself!! Then after, It was a training for "Glooming". For the last day of this week, we started the SERVICE training!! Introduction of what is the purpose of Service in Emirates......My training schedule was changed to be in the afternoon.... which starts from 15h30 till 23h00~due to the service mock-up are not enough.

Sixthweek and a bit of Seventh week : It is all about Service. The procedure, products, information, the inter-actions, etc. I spent time in classroom also in the mock up, everyday. There also were pretending flights for mock up exam: we were divided into 2 groups. One is for DXB-SYD and another SYD-DXB. We did the real service, serve real foods, drinks.(not real alcohol though) and the passengers were my colleagues from another groups. They were assigned by the instructors, to pretending customers in different conditions; Honey moon couple/ Blind passenger/ etc... It was quite challenging! -A380 crew, we have another extra day for "Duty-free" training. We need to learn about the products, how to sales, how to use the cashier...etc. For duty-free training you don't have the exam, however, for the Service you got the exam. This time I got 99% I don't understand, It had to be something missing, why couldn't be 100%??

------>THEN celebrate!!!!!!!!

my batch is 1554/ I am so happy that in our batch (17 of us) NO ONE repeat the week at all..... We all went through to the end. :o)

Of course my life here is not all about training, in the mean time I had life here, spending time with friends, but mostly by the end of each week, we did parties.... And because from day one till the last day of training, You won't get "Face card" which provides a lot of discount in many places, restaurants, bars, discos. So when we went out, we had to pay everything in full price, which is quite expensive. I think the main reason of company is they want you to focus on the training, not too much enjoying life just yet. But still we still did the party. So most of the time, we did the party in someone's apartment, which we didn't need to pay much. Anyway, the last day of the course, I recieved "FACE card"!! now it's real time for party!!! lol

Next, i will come back and tell about after training point, where did i fly for the first time, how happened about my first roster, and how was it.....

to be continue...
